Huila (Colombia) is framed by the Central and Eastern ranges of the Andes, with most of it sitting in the Magdalena Valley. The microclimate, combined with high altitude and a variety of soils create a perfect environment suited for high-quality coffee growing. It is no surprise, farmers of Huila, the largest coffee producing region within Colombia, regularly produce “Cup of Excellence” Lots. The climate, terroir, and – perhaps most importantly – producers’ hard work and focus on quality make it an origin worth knowing if you haven´t already tasted!
