The Beloya washing station lies in the Kochere district. The washing station itself has two processing units to ensure timely washing and drying of the cherry, using water from the local river system. Smallholder farms from the surrounding hills bring their cherry here to be processed, cupped and sold at the station that has been around for over twenty years.

This coffee has been grown at high altitude in iron rich soils. The farmers use traditional pest control methods that have been tried and tested for many years so organic production is commonly found.

Cherries that arrive at the station are hand sorted. Once selected they are transported to raised beds and dried for around 21days before milling to remove the husks, stored and taken to the dry mill for final processing.
