Rio Intag - meaning Intag River
As you may have seen, back in April of this year, Kat & Amanda were lucky enough to venture out to the high lands of Rwanda and Burundi to visit coffee farm and washing stations. While out there, they connected with Jenny, owner of Latitude Zero - a fellow coffee roaster also on the origin trip who is based in Kent. Jenny kindly sent us some green beans to roast and share with you all!
The cooperative educate the coffee farmers how to grow better coffee and teach sustainable agro forestry. By providing an income for the cooperative, it helps them to stop the mining companies who want to use open pit mining to exploit copper resources.
“Latitude Zero takes pride in supporting farming communities, ensuring fair trade terms and sustainable farming practices are employed. We ensure every bean is fully traceable.”
